We're looking for a proactive Electrical Project Engineer to join our Service team based in Hexham, NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise with project delivery, working across high-voltage maintenance, testing, commissioning and upgrade projects for customers in the mining and infrastructure sectors.
What you'll do
As the Electrical Project Engineer, you'll oversee and support the delivery of high-voltage field service projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to the highest quality standards. You'll work closely with customers, subcontractors and internal teams to provide technical leadership while driving successful project outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing and coordinating high-voltage field service projects from planning through to completion

Supporting maintenance, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting activities on HV equipment

Monitoring project schedules, resources, budgets and risk mitigation activities

Providing technical guidance and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety requirements

Conducting root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions to minimise equipment downtime

Building strong customer relationships and acting as a key technical point of contact during project delivery

Collaborating with engineering, procurement, logistics and field service teams to deliver project outcomes

Preparing project reports, technical documentation and recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives
What we're looking for
Ideally, you'll bring:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or a related discipline

Experience in electrical engineering, transformer maintenance, high-voltage systems or field service operations

Strong project management, planning and risk management capabilities
-
Hands-on experience testing, troubleshooting and maintaining HV equipment

Knowledge of relevant industry standards, safety regulations and quality assurance practices

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
-
Current Driver's Licence
-
Project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 (desirable)
