About the role
The Cultural Project Officer leads the coordination and implementation of Congress’ Cultural Safety and Responsiveness Framework and associated initiatives.
This position works collaboratively across all Congress divisions to strengthen cultural safety, Aboriginal workforce development, engagement, and organisational capability. The position partners closely with Human Resources, Safety, Risk and Compliance, Training and Development, Communications, Managers, Aboriginal Staff, and community stakeholders to support Congress' commitment to Aboriginal community control and self-determination.
What we are looking for?
A person with:

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Central Australian Aboriginal cultures, kinship systems, cultural protocols, and community-controlled organisations.
Demonstrated experience in cultural safety, workforce development, community engagement, project coordination, training, or organisational development.
Strong communication, facilitation, consultation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and projects.
Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel to remote communities.
