About the role
South Coast Home Care is looking for caring and reliable individuals to assist seniors in their homes with everyday tasks, companionship, and social support. If you have a passion for helping others and a positive attitude, we will provide the necessary training to support you in this role.
As a Home Care Worker, you will:

Provide personal care assistance to clients for example showering, dressing and toileting.

Assist clients with medications.

Provide general domestic assistance; assist in the preparation and cooking of in-home meals;

Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.

Provide social support to clients by providing transport, assisting with social outings, shopping
What we're looking for
This role is perfect for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and eager to make a difference - Providing personalised assistance to clients, helping them maintain their independence and enhancing their quality of life within their chosen community. You will be a valued member of the team, working closely with and reporting to our very supportive Senior Home Care Workers as needed.
Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential:
-
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.

Minimum 12 months paid experience

Current First Aid certificate.

Completion of the following units of competency: HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with
medication. HLTAAP00 - Recognise healthy body systems.
CHCCCS031 - Provide individualised support. -
Current driver's licence.

A comprehensively insured vehicle that is suitable and available to be used for work
purposes. -
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Outlook and Internet Explorer.
Personal History Checks

Current National Police Certificate - or the ability to acquire.

Current Influenza Vaccination - or the ability to acquire.
