The Doctors Mulgrave Road Medical Centre is looking for a compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will work collaboratively to provide exceptional customer service to all patients, while providing administrative support to our health professionals.

Hours & Roster

This is a casual position offering approximately 4 - 5 shifts per week, 30 - 37.5 hours per week between Monday and Friday.
- Individual shifts range from 7.5 to 8 hours.
- Please note: Your time will be split between our clinic for face-to-face patient care and our offsite call centre office.
Key Responsibilities

Patient Concierge: Greet patients warmly, assist with kiosk check-ins, and manage face-to-face enquiries.
- Switchboard Management: Answer incoming calls and manage emails efficiently while working from our offsite call centre.
- Appointment & Records Management: Book appointments using Best Practice software and accurately manage health records (importing/exporting documents).
- Admin Assistance: Assist doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals with administration, third-party stakeholder communication, and general data entry.
- Care Coordination & Liaison: Liaise with external service providers, including allied health specialists and aged care facilities, to assist with seamless patient care management.
- Clinical Support & Practice Maintenance: Maintain the general cleanliness and upkeep of practice areas in line with strict infection control guidelines. This includes restocking clinical supplies and assisting nursing staff with basic treatment room preparation and cleaning.
What You Bring to the Team

Full Australian Work Rights: Citizenship or Permanent Residency is essential.
- Current Full QLD Driver Licence
- A True Team Player: A collaborative mindset with a willingness to take direction, follow procedures, and actively support your colleagues.
- Exceptional Customer Service Skills: A polite, empathetic, and professional manner.
- Intermediate Computer Literacy: Experience with Best Practice is a bonus, but not essential.
- Resilience & Positivity: The ability to stay calm under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment with an enthusiastic disposition.
- Strong Communication & Attention to Detail: Excellent time-management skills and pride taken in both written and verbal communication.
