About the Opportunity
Join a dynamic Child and Family Health team delivering the Brighter Beginnings program across the Corowa region. This collaborative partnership between NSW Health and the NSW Department of Education supports children’s health, development and school readiness within early learning environments. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated Registered Nurse with a passion for early childhood development and preventative healthcare.
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), meeting all NMBA Registered Nurse standards for practice, and complying with relevant standards, codes, guidelines and frameworks.
- Post Graduate qualifications in Child and Family Health, along with Authorised Nurse Immuniser status and Family Partnership Training. (Candidates may be working towards these qualifications or complete them within 12 months of commencement.)
- Deliver child health and developmental screening within early education settings, including assessment, documentation, care planning and referral pathways.
- Work collaboratively with families, educators and the multidisciplinary team to support early intervention, health promotion and positive developmental outcomes for children.
- A Class C Driver License and the willingness to travel for work purposes, including potentially long distances across the MLHD.
