We are seeking a female Support Worker to provide ongoing support to a young woman living with Cerebral Palsy (Level 4) in Melbourne’s Northeast. This is a rewarding opportunity to support an active and social lifestyle while building a genuine connection.
(Female support required due to personal care needs.)
About The Role
Our participant receives support 7 days per week, with a mix of morning, evening, and weekend shifts available. We’re looking for the right people to become a consistent and valued part of her support team.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Delivering person-centred support aligned with NDIS goals
Assisting with personal care and daily living tasks
Supporting high physical needs, including:
- Manual handling
- Hoist transfers
- In-home exercise routines
- Assisting with mobility, positioning, and physical support
Supporting community access and social participation, including:
- Hydrotherapy
- Day program attendance (taxi pick-up & drop-off)
- Discos
- Movies & shopping outings
Maintaining professional boundaries in line with NDIS Practice Standards
Completing accurate shift notes and documentation
You’ll play an important role in helping someone maintain independence, confidence, and connection to their community.
About You:
You are caring, patient, and committed to empowering others. You understand the importance of dignity, respect, and participant choice.
Essential / Preferred Requirements:
- Female Support Worker (due to personal care requirements)
- Certificate III or IV in Disability / Individual Support (preferred)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Working with Children Check (Employee)
- Experience supporting high physical needs (highly regarded)
- Confidence with manual handling & hoist use (training available)
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Availability for a flexible roster, including weekends
