Packing Room Operator/Warehouse Assistant
oin our team as a Packing Room Operator/Warehouse Assistant, where you will contribute to the efficient and accurate blending and bottling of our product range.
Using semi-automated bottling equipment, you will help maintain a smooth production process while upholding high standards of quality and food safety. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, good physical fitness and the ability to perform repetitive tasks as part of a small, collaborative team.
Critical thinking, forward planning and a proactive approach are important to succeeding in this role. For the right person, this is an opportunity for an ongoing, long term position within our business.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate bottling equipment to support efficient production.
- Accurately blend bulk products following established procedures.
- Plan ahead to manage inventory levels and packing schedules effectively.
- Work in accordance with the requirements of our HACCP Food Safety Management System.
- Maintain accurate production records, including quantities and quality checks.
- Monitor production line performance and look for opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to improve workflow and productivity.
- Assist with packing customer orders as required.
- Follow safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.
Skills and Experience
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining product quality.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach to work, including planning ahead to keep production running smoothly. We fill approximately 220,000 bottles each year.
- Ability to multitask, for example monitoring several operations while completing another task.
- Strong mathematics skills and the ability to accurately record production data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Experience using databases or business systems would be an advantage.
- A forklift licence is preferred. If you do not currently hold one, you will be expected to obtain one as part of the role.
- Good physical fitness, as the role involves repetitive tasks and lifting items weighing up to 25 kilograms.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, food processing, food services or hospitality is preferred but not essential.

Work Details
- Location: East Queanbeyan
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (Please apply only if you live within commuting distance).
- Start Date: Available for an immediate start, although finding the right person is more important than the start date.
- Salary: Based on experience and work rate.
- Employment: Full-time, with the opportunity for an ongoing, long term position for the right person.
