Tanda is hiring a Chief Financial Officer to lead our finance function as we enter a new stage of growth. We're a bootstrapped company funded by customers for over a decade. Now, as our corporate structure evolves alongside our expansion, we need a CFO to lead finance through that next chapter.
Tanda is building Australia's leading all-in-one workforce management platform, spanning rostering, time & attendance, payroll, staffing optimisation, employee engagement, and labour compliance. As the business scales across multiple entities and jurisdictions, we need a CFO who can own the complexity that comes with that, while still being close enough to the detail to get their hands dirty when it counts.
Tanda has spent over a decade growing organically, funded by our customers rather than external capital. We're now moving into a new phase, one where our corporate structure is becoming more sophisticated to match the scale and complexity of our business. This CFO will play a key role in building the financial foundations, governance, and structure needed for that next stage.
You'll run financial operations across our entities and manage projects including:
Reviewing and overhauling billing and finance systems
Setting up and standardising Board reporting and revenue reporting
Building forecasting and modelling to help with decision making
Untangling tax and compliance across multiple jurisdictions
Getting stuck into M&A deal process and integration as real opportunities come up
You're outcome-focused, not process-focused: you care about the right result being delivered efficiently, not about ticking every procedural box for its own sake.
You have a sharp instinct for what actually needs your attention versus what can be delegated, and you're just as comfortable digging into a messy reconciliation personally as you are presenting to the Board.
You don't believe in building an empire: you'd rather run a lean, capable team than a large one, and you measure your own success by results, not org chart size.
You are CPA or CA qualified, with experience operating in a PE-backed or PE-transaction environment, comfortable with cloud-based systems and modern finance tooling, and ideally understand SaaS or similar recurring-revenue business models, though we're open to strong candidates without direct SaaS experience.
You'll have built a lean, high-leverage finance function, one resourced to match genuine need, not headcount for its own sake.
You'll be relied on for clear, accurate financial reporting the Board can trust.
You'll have strengthened our compliance and reporting processes without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
You'll be the person the business turns to when a financial problem needs solving quickly and properly.
