As the Quarry Manager, you'll be responsible for the safety, compliance, culture, operational and financial performance of a 3.5 million tonnes per annum 24/7 operation. Reporting into the Metro Quarries Operations Manager we are looking for somebody with a growth mindset to deliver continuous operational improvements to elevate the site from good to great. You will need to bring a drive and determination to deliver outstanding results across a range of operational areas.
Your day will involve:
- Safety First: Champion and enforce safety protocols to achieve outstanding performance outcomes.
- People Leadership: Lead, inspire, and mentor staff and contractors through hands-on management and genuine care for your team.
- Operational Excellence: An energy to deliver the incremental improvement of safe, compliant, reliable and optimized assets
- Oversee 24/7 across multiple shifts, ensuring production and maintenance aligns with safety and quality standards, budgets, and forecasts.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the site meets it’s licensing, consent, and regulatory requirements.
- Strategic Contribution: Play a key role in short and long-term planning, capital works, and asset optimization and maintenance strategy.

- Financial experience: You have experience of accurately managing operational budgets, developing compelling business cases for investment and a solid understanding of inventory management.
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of quarry/mining leadership ideally with a NSW Practicing certificate.
