Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis.
About the Role:
As a Dental Assistant at GA Dental, you will support our dentists in delivering high-
quality patient care and contribute to the efficient day-to-day operation of the
practice.
The role includes chairside assisting across a range of dental procedures, preparing
surgeries and instruments, maintaining sterilisation and infection control standards,
supporting patient comfort and education, and assisting with clinical and
administrative duties as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists.
Prepare dental surgeries, instruments and materials for procedures.
Assist with restorative, cosmetic, endodontic, surgical and implant
procedures.
Maintain sterilisation and infection control standards in accordance with
practice requirements.
Support patient comfort, communication and education before, during and
after treatment.
Take digital scans, clinical photographs and radiographs where
appropriately qualified and authorised.
Maintain dental equipment, instruments and stock levels.
Assist with reception and administrative duties as required.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience Requirements:
At least 12 months of full-time experience as a Dental Assistant, undertaken
within the last three years.
A relevant AQF Certificate III or higher qualification in Dental Assisting (or
equivalent). Alternatively, at least two years of relevant work experience may
substitute for the formal qualification requirement.
Current Police Check.
Evidence of Hepatitis B immunisation.
Current Hand Hygiene Certificate.
Current CPR Certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
Strong commitment to patient care, infection control, professionalism and
teamwork.
Desirable:
Fluent Spanish language skills.
Experience using Exact Dental Software.
Experience with digital dentistry and intraoral scanners.
