Be part of a community where relationships come first.
Wingate Avenue Children’s Co-op is a proud not for profit, community based early childhood service that has been part of the community for over 50 years.
Being a parent committee run service means that our focus is on what matters most: our children, our families and our educators. We are proud of our strong community connections and the diverse families and cultures that make Wingate such a special place to be.
We are looking for a warm, kind and passionate Casual Educator to join our team.
About the Role
Our service has five classrooms, welcoming children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age.
As a Casual Educator, you will work across our different classrooms and have the opportunity to build relationships with children of different ages, interests and abilities. Your role will be important in supporting continuity and consistency for children, ensuring they continue to feel safe, secure and connected.
You will work alongside a highly experienced and qualified team, supported by our Centre Director and Educational Leader. We value ongoing learning and are committed to supporting educators to grow their knowledge, confidence and professional practice.
About You
We are looking for the right person who brings more than qualifications. We are looking for someone with warmth, kindness, patience and a genuine love for being alongside children.
You will have a minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or be currently working towards your qualification.
Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys building genuine connections with children and understands that every child is unique.
You will value children as capable and confident learners and be willing to listen to their ideas, interests and perspectives.
You will understand the importance of creating an inclusive environment where every child and family feels welcomed, respected and that they belong.
We are a culturally diverse community, and we value educators who are respectful and curious about different cultures, languages, identities, family structures and experiences.
Our team is highly experienced and qualified, so we are looking for someone who is eager to learn, contribute and continue developing their practice.
