Machine Operator
We are looking for a skilled, reliable and hardworking Machine Operator to join our construction team. This role is suited to someone who is confident operating machinery, takes pride in their work and can work safely and efficiently as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate excavators, skid steers and other construction machinery
- Carry out excavation, earthworks, loading and site preparation
- Assist with retaining wall and general construction works
- Work accurately around existing services and structures
- Follow site plans, levels and instructions from supervisors
- Complete daily machine pre-start checks
- Identify and report maintenance or mechanical issues
- Keep machinery clean and well maintained
- Follow SWMS, WHS requirements and company safety procedures
- Assist other team members when required
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe worksite
- Work efficiently to help keep projects on schedule

- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Current Construction White Card
- Relevant machinery tickets/licences where required
Experience
Previous experience operating machinery in the construction, civil, earthmoving or retaining wall industry is highly regarded.
We are looking for someone who can operate machinery safely and efficiently while also being willing to get out of the machine and help the team on the ground when required.
Pay: From $40.00 per hour
Work Location: On the road
