EmpoweringU Disability Support Services is seeking compassionate and reliable Female Casual Disability Support Workers to join our growing team in the Hillside and Melton areas.
We have a range of casual ongoing weekday and weekend shifts available with established participants, making this an excellent opportunity for support workers looking for casual consistent hours.
As a Disability Support Worker with EmpoweringU Disability Support Services, your role will include:
- Providing full personal care.
- Assisting participants with daily living tasks at home including personal hygiene, showering, and toileting.
- Supporting participants to access the community such as: driving them to appointments or social outings and attending community programs or recreational activities ( YOU MUST have a car).
- Have proven written skills to report on participants’ wellbeing through progress notes.
- Promoting independence and empowerment in all activities.
- Following personalised care plans.
- Providing social engagement and emotional support.
- Supporting participant from diverse cultural backgrounds with respect and sensitivity.
- You MUST HAVE experience working with participants who have complex health and mobility needs.
Following shifts offered (Hillside / Melton):
Wednesday (Weekly Combined Shift – Supporting 2 Participants)
- 1:45 pm – 5:45 pm - Participant 1
- 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm- Participant 2
Sunday (Weekly)
- 1:45pm- 5:45pm - Participant 1
Sunday (Fortnightly)
- 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm- Participant 2
Sunday (Weekly)
- 4-hour shift commencing at either 10:00 am or 11:00 am (participant preference) - Participant 3

Pay: $35.00 – $38.00 per hour
