Position Overview
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our Training & Compliance team, becoming our Industrial door subject matter expert. In this role you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Industrial door training content whilst being the trusted training partner for other technical training for the service part of our business.
In this role they will analyse current practices, identify areas for improvement, and research industry best practices and relevant regulations to deliver technical training, prioritising safety, to service technicians, agents, and internal staff.
What you will do
- Develop, plan, provide and coordinate training for Industrial Technicians, Agents, and Field Managers.
- Coordinate & align with Subject Matter Experts in regard to technical aspects across a range of industrial products & manufacturers (e.g. roller shutters, rapid roll doors & gates).
- Improve, update, and share latest technology and best practices (including writing SOPs) for site area management, job safety & identified areas for improvement.
- Be a conduit to receive and provide technical advice to installers and technicians on process, methodology, theory and practice.
- Provide Technical and Field support for our Service Technicians, Field Manager and Agents in the region.
- Carry out Technician Competency & onsite work audits.
Assist in incident investigations in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

There will be a need to travel to various locations quarterly and as required, to conduct training and provide support whilst supporting the local business unit's training administration and processes.
What we require
Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar position, facilitating training and conducting assessments within a field role.
- Demonstrated technical experience within a service department or similar technical training environment. Previous experience in the industrial doors industry is essential
- Strong analytical and Microsoft Office capabilities.
- Confident in public speaking.
- The ability to facilitate, mentor, coach and build relationships to create lasting relationships and to promote behavioural change.
- Stakeholder management capabilities, allowing you to foster collaborative partnerships with all levels of our business.
What we prefer
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment
- An understanding of technical product training
- Experience working with a range of industrial door products and systems, such as roller shutters, rapid roll doors, gates, automatic doors, access systems or associated controls.
- Experience developing or maintaining technical documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, technical guides and training materials.
- Experience managing or coordinating technical projects, product changes, new technology or product introductions.
