Hatch is seeking an experienced Water Balance Lead Engineer to join our Civil/Hydrotechnical team in Brisbane. With over 65 years of expertise and 9,000 professionals across more than 150 countries, Hatch delivers innovative solutions across the mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors.
You will lead water balance modelling projects, provide technical leadership in GoldSim, support business growth in mine water management, and mentor junior engineers while working closely with clients across a diverse project portfolio.

Lead water balance modelling and mine water management studies

Expert in using GoldSim

Prepare and review technical reports and proposals

Liaise with clients and identify new project opportunities

Mentor and develop junior engineers

Contribute to engineering studies and cost estimates

Degree in Engineering or related discipline

10+ years' relevant experience

Extensive GoldSim modelling experience

Strong client engagement and communication skills

Collaborative leadership style

RPEQ and/or CPEng preferred

Groundwater modelling and hydrogeology

Water supply systems
-
Climate change impact assessments

Stormwater and water quality management
-
WSUD, sediment transport, or effluent treatment
Eligibility: Australian/New Zealand Citizen, Permanent Resident, or holder of a valid Australian work visa.
