Young Academics Early Learning Centre is a leading and reputable provider with more than 45 centres across New South Wales. We are currently seeking a passionate Assistant Centre Manager to join our Tallawong leadership team.
About the Role
As an Assistant Centre Manager, you will work closely with the Centre Manager to support the day-to-day leadership, operations and performance of the service while continuing to deliver high-quality education and care.
You will support regulatory compliance, mentor and develop educators, build strong relationships with families and contribute to a positive, collaborative and child-safe culture. This is a great opportunity to grow your leadership capability, contribute to centre-wide success and step into Centre Manager responsibilities when delegated.
This position is a full-time role – Monday to Friday between 6:30 am – 6:00 pm.
Responsibilities
Support the Centre Manager with the day-to-day leadership, operations and performance of the service.
Mentor and support educators through coaching, professional development and ongoing feedback.
Support regulatory compliance, quality improvement and the delivery of high-quality educational programs.
Promote a positive, collaborative and child-safe culture, embedding safeguarding practices across the service.
Support staffing, supervision, enrolments, occupancy, administration and operational planning.
Build strong partnerships with families and the wider community, promoting open and inclusive communication.
Conduct room observations and operational checks to support quality, safety and continuous improvement.
Act as Responsible Person and assist with Centre Manager responsibilities when delegated.
About You
An ACECQA-approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Demonstrated leadership capability and the ability to mentor and support educators.
Strong knowledge of the NQS, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, child protection and regulatory requirements.
Current and valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check.
Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
Current National Mandatory Child Protection certification.
Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
A genuine commitment to child safety, safeguarding and inclusive practice.
