Assistant Store Manager
About the Role
Join our dynamic team at Amplifon as an Assistant Store Manager!
This pivotal role supports the Store Manager and Sales & Operations Manager in driving our store's performance, culture, and commercial success. Your focus will be on generating new and repeat opportunities through proactive customer engagement, ensuring every interaction creates meaningful value.
You'll lead by example, delivering exceptional client experiences, and supporting daily store operations. This role offers significant growth opportunities as you contribute to a high-performing, purpose-driven environment focused on improving people's quality of life through hearing health solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion active customer engagement through the Greetline process, ensuring every potential customer is acknowledged and creates an opportunity
- Support the Store Manager in driving lead generation performance through both new contacts and the existing customer database
- Manage diary and appointment schedules to ensure balanced, full, and productive clinic days while minimizing downtime
- Model exceptional greeting behaviors and coach the team to deliver warm, professional, and purposeful interactions
- Identify and act on opportunities for recalls, rebooks, and client follow-up calls to maintain consistent conversion results
- Provide insights on lead generation performance, appointment trends, and client feedback to identify improvement areas
- Support day-to-day coaching and development of Client Screening Officers, reinforcing accountability for results
- Ensure all administrative and data tasks are completed accurately, consistently, and on time within the practice management system
- Maintain high standards of data entry and appointment accuracy while managing POS, EFTPOS, and cash handling in accordance with company policies
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional client experiences through empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Participate in ear clinics, health expos, and community events to attract new clients and re-engage existing ones
- Support Local Area Marketing initiatives and build strong local networks to enhance visibility and referral opportunities
- Maintain a clean, professional, and inviting store environment that aligns with brand standards
- Promote positive health and safety behaviors and ensure the store operates safely in line with legal and company standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years in a customer-facing or supervisory role within retail or service environments
- Proven experience in driving lead generation and achieving sales or conversion targets
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads through proactive outreach and relationship building
- Organised and detail-oriented with strong administrative competence
- Proficient in CRM, scheduling, and reporting systems
- Comfortable balancing customer care with commercial objectives
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing small teams and overseeing operational performance
- Previous sales, retail, health or education industry experience is highly regarded, but not essential.
