About the Health Centre
Located approximately 45km South of Perth on Garden Island, HMAS Stirling provides operational and logistics support to the RAN ships, submarines and aircraft based in WA. The base is home to RAN Submarine Training & Systems Centre, Training Centre West complex, Defence Communications Station Perth, and is a trials/research & support facility. This role is primarily Monday to Friday (day shift) within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. After-hours, weekend and on-call shifts may be required depending on role requirements and base location.
What you’ll do

Keep the clinic running smoothly by providing fast, accurate, and professional clerical and administrative support to health staff and patients.

Manage electronic and hard copy health records and data in accordance with Defence policies, privacy requirements, and compliance standards.

Coordinate appointments and liaise effectively with internal and external health service providers to support continuity of care and timely access to patient information.

Prepare reports, update health and personnel management systems, and assist with auditing activities to support operational and compliance requirements.

Support day-to-day clinic operations through filing, mail distribution, photocopying, ordering stationery and stores, and processing supply requests.
What you bring

Minimum of 1 year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience in an administrative role. (Medical setting highly desirable)

Completion of a medical terminology course from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), or willingness to complete

Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Sound computer literacy and experience with electronic health record systems highly regarded.
