We are seeking a Secondary Mathematics Teacher/Tutor to teach high-achieving students across our VCE, JMSS and Scholarship Programs.
Who We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for:
- University students studying Mathematics, Education, Engineering, Science or related fields
- Graduates or experienced teachers seeking casual teaching work
- Experienced tutors with a strong background in secondary Mathematics
Working Hours
Saturday: 9:30am – 5:00pm
Applicants must be available for the full Saturday teaching schedule.
About the Role
You will teach Mathematics across our:
- JMSS Preparation Program – Mathematics and Numerical Reasoning
- VCE Mathematics Program – senior secondary Mathematics
- Scholarship Preparation Program – advanced Mathematics and scholarship preparation
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and structured Mathematics lessons.
- Explain mathematical concepts clearly and develop students' problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Build positive relationships with students and encourage academic excellence.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong Mathematics knowledge and excellent problem-solving ability.
- Ability to teach Mathematics from upper primary through to senior secondary level.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain difficult concepts clearly and effectively.
- Experience in tutoring or teaching school-aged students is highly desirable.
- Experience with selective school, scholarship, JMSS or VCE preparation is an advantage.
- Excellent reliability and punctuality.
- Availability every Saturday from 9:30am to 5:00pm.
