Position Summary
The Commercial Manager – Franchise & Enterprise Growth is responsible for driving the commercial growth strategy of MVR Retailers Group across its franchise, enterprise, commercial partnerships and national enterprise repair channels.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role will lead the development of franchise growth initiatives, support franchise recruitment activities, identify and secure enterprise opportunities, establish strategic partnerships and drive commercial revenue growth across Mobile Experts, The Mobile Company and associated business divisions.
The position works closely with the Group's Business Broker to identify, screen and qualify prospective franchisees while developing commercial opportunities that generate sustainable growth across corporate and franchise operations.
This role is responsible for identifying new revenue streams, building strategic alliances, expanding enterprise repair programs, developing B2B and B2C opportunities and ensuring commercial initiatives contribute to the long-term growth and profitability of MVR Retailers Group.
Key Responsibilities
Franchise Development & Recruitment
Franchise Growth Strategy
- Develop and execute the national franchise growth strategy for Mobile Experts and The Mobile Company.
- Identify and evaluate franchise expansion opportunities across existing and emerging markets.
- Develop business cases and feasibility assessments for new franchise locations.
- Support greenfield and resale franchise recruitment initiatives.
Franchise Recruitment Support
- Work closely with the Group's Business Broker to support franchise recruitment activities.
- Assist in generating and managing franchise lead pipelines.
- Conduct preliminary screening interviews with prospective franchisees.
- Assess candidate suitability, business capability, financial capacity and cultural alignment.
- Coordinate franchise discovery meetings and recruitment processes.
- Prepare candidate assessments and recommendations for senior management.
- Assist with franchise onboarding and integration into the network.
Franchise Network Development
- Support franchisees in identifying local business growth opportunities.
- Monitor franchise performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist franchisees in developing local commercial partnerships and customer acquisition strategies.
- Support the successful rollout of franchise growth initiatives across the network.
Enterprise & Commercial Business Development
National Enterprise Sales
- Develop and implement a national enterprise sales strategy.
- Identify, pursue and secure new B2B and B2C commercial opportunities.
- Build relationships with corporate organisations, government departments, educational institutions and enterprise clients.
- Develop national account programs that deliver recurring revenue opportunities.
- Create and manage enterprise sales pipelines and forecasting processes.
- Prepare commercial proposals, tenders and presentations.
Commercial Growth Opportunities
- Identify new revenue streams across retail, repair, accessories and service categories.
- Develop commercial programs that drive growth across corporate and franchise stores.
- Evaluate new markets, service offerings and business opportunities.
- Support the commercial expansion of existing products and services.
Strategic Partnerships & Business Alliances
Commercial Partnerships
- Identify and secure strategic partnerships that drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.
- Develop commercial relationships with Financial institutions, Banks, Insurance providers, Telecommunications companies, Universities and education providers, Government agencies, Membership organisations, Retail partners, Technology providers, Loyalty and rewards program operators
Affiliate & Referral Programs
- Work with Warehouse entity and operational teams to improve product performance and profitability.
- Analyse product margins and stock productivity.
- Support inventory optimisation and supplier performance initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve supplier terms and commercial outcomes.
National Repair Growth & Enterprise Repair Programs
Enterprise Repair Development
- Work closely with the National Repair Manager to identify enterprise repair opportunities.
- Develop commercial repair solutions for corporate and government clients.
- Secure national repair agreements and service contracts.
- Build strategic relationships that generate repair volume across the network.
Business Development
- Identify opportunities to expand repair services into new customer segments.
- Develop programs focused on device lifecycle management, repair and refurbishment.
- Drive repair revenue growth across company-owned and franchise locations.
MVR Distribution & Warehouse entity Direct-to-Business (B2B) Strategy
- Develop and execute the national growth strategy for MVR Distribution and Warehouse entity.
- Identify opportunities to expand wholesale and distribution revenue through direct business-to-business (B2B) sales channels.
- Build and manage relationships with retailers, independent mobile phone stores, repair centres, franchise groups, telecommunications dealers and commercial customers.
- Identify new enterprise and commercial product categories, exclusive distribution opportunities and private-label product opportunities that support revenue growth.
- Develop national distribution programs that leverage MVR Retailers Group's buying power, supplier network and national footprint.
Direct-to-Business (B2B) Growth Strategy
- Develop and implement a national B2B sales strategy for Warehouse entity and MVR Distribution.
- Identify and secure wholesale supply agreements with - Independent mobile phone retailers, Consumer electronics retailers, Repair businesses, Corporate organisations, Government departments, Educational institutions, Franchise groups, Managed service providers, Telecommunications dealers, Insurance and warranty providers
- Build recurring revenue opportunities through supply agreements, procurement partnerships and managed inventory solutions.
- Develop pricing structures, commercial agreements and account management frameworks that support long-term customer retention.
- Create national account programs targeting multi-site organisations and enterprise customers.
Commercial Performance & Reporting
- Identify opportunities to expand repair services into new customer segments.
- Develop programs focused on device lifecycle management, repair and refurbishment.
- Drive repair revenue growth across company-owned and franchise locations.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with franchisees, brokers, enterprise customers and commercial partners.
- Represent MVR Retailers Group at franchise expos, networking events and industry functions.
- Work collaboratively with Operations, Marketing, Finance and Repair teams.
- Ensure commercial initiatives align with company objectives and brand standards.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial management, business development, franchising or enterprise sales.
- Demonstrated success in franchise recruitment, network growth or business development.
- Experience developing strategic partnerships and commercial agreements.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical, reporting and presentation capabilities.
- Ability to identify and convert growth opportunities into measurable business outcomes.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
Desirable
- Experience within telecommunications, consumer electronics, retail services or franchise businesses.
- Experience working within a multi-site retail environment.

Role Objective
To drive sustainable growth and profitability across MVR Retailers Group by developing the franchise network, supporting franchise recruitment, securing enterprise opportunities, building strategic partnerships and identifying new commercial revenue streams. The Commercial Manager will play a critical role in expanding the Mobile Experts and The Mobile Company brands while delivering measurable growth across corporate, franchise, enterprise, repair and online channels.
Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
