Senior Gardener / Leading Hand

AAGM is looking for an experienced and reliable Senior Gardener / Leading Hand to join our growing gardening maintenance business.
This is not just another gardening position.
We are looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work, has a strong work ethic and is prepared to take ownership of the jobs they are responsible for.
The right person will be someone I can trust to attend a property independently, understand what needs to be done and make sure the job is completed to a high standard that reflects AAGM.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out and assisting with:
- Lawn mowing and edging
- Hedge trimming
- Pruning
- Weeding
- Garden clean ups
- Green waste removal
- General garden maintenance
- Residential and commercial properties
- Completing jobs independently
- Leading another team member when required
- Checking completed work before leaving a property
- Communicating any issues or additional work required
- Taking before and after photos where required
- Looking after company equipment, vehicles and client properties
Who We Are Looking For

- Has solid gardening or grounds maintenance experience
- Can confidently work without constant supervision
- Takes pride in producing excellent work
- Is reliable and turns up when they say they will
- Has good attention to detail
- Can manage their time and complete jobs efficiently
- Is comfortable taking responsibility for a job
- Treats customers and their properties professionally
- Can communicate clearly with the business owner
- Is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Can identify problems rather than simply walking past them
- Looks after equipment as if it were their own
- Wants to become an important long term part of a growing business
Most importantly, we want someone who genuinely cares about the work they put their name to.
You do not need to own the business, but we want someone who approaches their work with an ownership mindset and understands that every property represents AAGM.
