As a Dispute Resolution Officer, you'll play a key role in helping resolve workers' compensation disputes and achieving positive outcomes for injured workers, employers and other stakeholders. Every day brings new challenges as you manage disputes from end to end, review complex information, collaborate with claims and legal specialists, and represent EML at the South Australian Employment Tribunal.
This is more than an administrative role. You'll use your communication, negotiation and critical thinking skills to navigate complex situations, build strong stakeholder relationships and identify opportunities to resolve disputes as early as possible. You'll work closely with internal teams, legal providers and other stakeholders to drive fair, timely and effective outcomes.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in our Adelaide office, with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week once fully trained.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage workers' compensation disputes lodged with the South Australian Employment Tribunal from end to end, with a focus on achieving positive and early dispute resolution outcomes.

Review reconsiderations, attend tribunal proceedings and participate in stakeholder meetings to drive outcomes.

Build and maintain strong relationships with workers, employers, legal representatives, South Australian Employment Tribunal and internal stakeholders.

Provide technical advice and collaborate with claims and legal teams.

Maintain accurate claim records and ensure compliance with legislation and scheme requirements.

Stay up to date with relevant case law, legislative changes and industry developments.
ABOUT YOU

Tertiary studies or previous experience in legal, mediation or dispute resolution is advantageous

Previous experience in a customer-focused or professional services environment.
