As our operations continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Export Information and Logistics Analyst to support the continued development of our export systems, business processes and international operations.
About the Role
The Export Information and Logistics Analyst will play an important role in analysing, organising and managing the Company’s export information, operational and commercial data and business processes.
The role will work closely with management and the Dispatch & Logistics Manager to analyse export performance, develop and improve information systems and organisational processes, review export operations and provide recommendations to support efficient, compliant and commercially effective international trade operations.
The position is based in Hanwood, NSW, with hybrid office and remote work options available. It is a skilled professional position requiring strong analytical capability, knowledge of export logistics and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced, high-volume export environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse export, shipping, inventory and commercial performance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain information-management systems, reporting tools, KPIs and processes supporting export operations.
- Analyse freight costs, shipping schedules, export sales returns and operational performance to support management decision-making.
- Develop, document and improve business procedures, organisational methods and standard operating procedures for export operations.
- Review export workflows and recommend improvements to efficiency, compliance and information flow.
- Evaluate logistics and information systems and assist with implementing new systems, technologies and digital process improvements.
- Analyse sales, production forecasts, customer demand and shipping capacity to support export planning.
- Evaluate freight providers, shipping routes, transit times and costs and provide recommendations to management.
- Monitor Australian export and importing-country requirements and incorporate changes into organisational procedures.
- Review export shipment information and documentation, including EXDOC documentation, phytosanitary certificates, certificates of origin and commercial invoices.
- Identify documentation discrepancies, shipment delays and recurring operational issues and recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
- Work collaboratively with management, logistics staff and other stakeholders to support efficient and compliant export operations.
Skills and Experience Required
- Relevant Bachelor degree or higher qualification in business, logistics, supply chain management, information management, international trade or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience analysing logistics, operational and commercial information and providing recommendations to management.
- Experience developing and maintaining information-management and reporting systems.
- Experience developing business procedures, organisational methods and process improvements.
- Sound knowledge of Australian export requirements, EXDOC processes and international shipping documentation.
- Strong analytical, organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in information management and documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in fresh produce, agriculture, perishable goods or export operations is highly regarded.
- Knowledge of DAFF requirements, phytosanitary certification and international market-access protocols is highly regarded.
