Audiologist, Are You Looking for the Right Clinic, Not Just Another Audiology Job?
At earLAB, our mission is simple: to help people hear better, communicate better and live their best possible life.
Founded in 2018, earLAB is an independent private audiology and ear health practice with clinics in Richmond and Footscray, Melbourne.
We're looking for an experienced Audiologist to join our supportive team in a Full-Time capacity.
This is a clinical role for someone who values professional independence, patient-centred care and having a genuine say in the clinic where they work.
More Than an Appointment Book
At earLAB, we’re looking for clinicians who want to be actively involved in the team and contribute beyond their individual appointments.
We're a small team, so good ideas matter. You'll be encouraged to contribute to:
- Improving clinical procedures and patient pathways
- Developing new services and areas of expertise
- Clinical discussions and complex cases
- Consultation and communication skills
- Community and workplace hearing initiatives
- Research, evidence-based practice and professional development
The Clinical Role
You'll be expected to confidently manage a broad audiology caseload, including:
- Comprehensive hearing assessments, otoscopy and diagnostics
- Speech and speech-in-noise assessment
- Hearing aid selection, fitting, programming and follow-up
- Real-ear measurement and verification
- Rehabilitation counselling and shared decision-making
- DVA, HSP, Workcover and private-funded services
- Tinnitus management
- Troubleshooting and complex rehabilitation
- Clinical documentation and risk management
- Challenging patient conversations and appropriate referrals
- Musicians, performers and sound engineers
- Defence and industry clients
- People working in high-noise environments
- Custom hearing protection
- Custom in-ear monitors (CIEMs)
- Workplace hearing conservation
- Ear health and microsuction
We also provide aural microsuction and ear wax management. Experience is valuable, but training can be provided. As the exclusive ACS Custom distributor in Australia and New Zealand, we provide an opportunity to develop specialised skills in custom hearing protection and in-ear monitors that aren't available in every audiology practice.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Clinically capable and confident
- Warm, authentic and a strong communicator
- Patient-centred and clinically principled
- Comfortable working independently
- Collaborative and willing to contribute ideas
- Curious and committed to ongoing development
- Commercially aware without compromising clinical judgement
Approximately 3–5 years' clinical experience would be ideal, but we're more interested in your competence, clinical maturity and fit with our team than an arbitrary number of years.
You'll need:
- A recognised tertiary qualification in Audiology
- Current Audiology Australia membership or equivalent
- Current Clinical Certificate of Practice (QP number)
- Hearing Services Program accreditation
- Experience managing adult rehabilitation patients
- Competence with hearing aid fitting, programming and REM
- Strong counselling and communication skills
Experience in tinnitus, DVA, microsuction, custom hearing protection, CIEMs, hearing conservation or advanced rehabilitation counselling would be highly regarded.
Why earLAB?
