Factory Production Operator - Manufacturing
We are a busy manufacturing business supplying custom flatpack cabinetry and benchtops to the joinery and building industries throughout South East Queensland.
We are looking for a reliable, practical and enthusiastic person to join our factory production team.
This is a hands-on manufacturing role working with a range of machinery, including CNC equipment. Some tasks are repetitive and some lifting is involved, so the position will suit someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in doing a job properly and likes being part of a productive team.
You do not need to be a qualified tradesperson. We are more interested in your attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.
The person we are looking for will:
- Be reliable and turn up ready to work.
- Be able to read, measure and work confidently with numbers.
- Be able to understand and follow instructions independently.
- Be practically or mechanically minded.
- Be willing to learn new machines and processes.
- Take responsibility for the quality of their work.
- Be comfortable using computers or willing to learn.
- Enjoy working as part of a team and helping others when required.
Previous experience in manufacturing, metalwork, machine operation, assembly, cabinetry or another practical environment would be useful, but is not essential. Training will be provided to the right person.
Our workplace is built around five important values: Teamwork, Respect, Trust, Taking Responsibility and Open Communication. We are looking for someone who wants to work in that type of environment and contribute positively to the team.
The position will initially be casual, with the opportunity to move to permanent full-time employment after a successful qualifying period.
After the qualifying period, employees are also eligible to participate in our annual profit bonus program, paid quarterly.
A forklift licence would be useful but is not essential. We would also support a suitable employee who is interested in obtaining one.
Applicants must have appropriate Australian working rights and be able to reliably travel to work.
