Lighthouse Pest Control is a local, family-run pest and termite business that has looked after homes across Byron Bay and the Northern Rivers since 1986. We’re now looking for our first full-time Pest Control Technician to work directly with Mitch and help build the next chapter of the business.
Straight up: we’re not a big operation, and we’re not pretending to be. Day to day, you’ll work alongside the owner, get backed when you need help and have a genuine say in how the field team develops. There’s also a real opportunity to grow into a senior role as we build the team.
This is a fully licensed role, not a trainee position. Once the licences are covered, character matters more to us than how many years you’ve been on the tools.

What you’ll be doing
- Residential and commercial pest control
- Termite inspections and termite management work
- Pre-construction and post-construction termite protection
- Providing clear, respectful advice to customers
- Completing safe, tidy and thorough work that’s done properly the first time
- Looking after the ute, equipment and the Lighthouse name
What you must have
- Current NSW Pest Management Technician Licence
- Current Timber Pest Management Technician Licence
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- The ability to safely work outdoors, under houses and in roof spaces
You’ll also need a Construction Induction White Card for site work. If you don’t already have one, we can help you get it sorted.

Someone honest, reliable, easygoing and genuinely good to have in people’s homes. You turn up when you say you will, take pride in quality work, keep your gear tidy and give customers straight advice without scare tactics or unnecessary upselling.
