"The Boot Factory" is a retro fit cafe/eatery in Melbourne's north setting high standards of food service and hospitality. By day the cafe operates as The Boot Factory, transforming on selected nights to evening dinner at Harper and Sole.

About the role
We are seeking a talented qualified candidate for the role of Sous-Chef to provide leadership across both day and night offerings.
We're on the hunt for an experienced Sous Chef with 2 years previous experience in a similar role, and the ability to work all sections of the kitchen with confidence.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure food standards, preparation, presentation, hygiene, and cooking techniques maintain guidelines
- Cultivate a positive work environment, ability to train, mentor and inspire staff
- Provide creative input into all menu offerings
- Participate with head Chef in costings, stocktake and food cost matters
- Availability across 7 days including PH

Skills and experience
- Previous experience as a Junior Sous or Sous Chef in a fast paced venue, ability to multi task
- Strong communication skills within a team culture
- Creatively driven and curious, experienced with functions/events, menu development
- High standard of food presentation and productivity
