About the role
The Senior Contract Manager is responsible for managing the Infrastructure and OCMS modules of the Franchise Agreement, ensuring contractual obligations are met and providing commercial and contractual advice. The role proactively manages risks, supports senior decision-making, and improves rail service performance and customer experience within a complex and changing operational environment.
Key responsibilities include managing contract correspondence, deliverables, claims, issues and risks; building strong stakeholder relationships; negotiating commercial matters; providing advice on complex and sensitive issues; driving continuous improvement and value for money; supporting Ministerial briefs and correspondence; and promoting safe, inclusive and flexible team operations.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- Tertiary degree in engineering, business, commerce or law; or extensive experience managing public private partnership contracts or other high value / high risk contracts (mandatory).
- Experience in complex operational environments.
