Casual Education Facilitator - AI, STEM & Creative Workshops
About the Role:
Lighthouse Education is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Casual Education Facilitators to join our growing team delivering engaging workshops for children and young people across Sydney.
Our programs range from AI, STEM and coding to design thinking, creative making and hands-on educational workshops, supporting students from primary school through to high school.
This is an ongoing casual opportunity We run programs throughout the year, including school holiday workshops, after-school programs, special events and educational activities.
You do not need to be an experienced teacher. We are particularly interested in university students, recent graduates, educators and young professionals who enjoy working with children and are confident learning new things
What You'll Do
- Facilitate fun, interactive workshops for students,
- Guide students through AI, STEM, coding, design or creative activities
- Encourage curiosity, creativity, team work, and problem-solving
- Help prepare and manage workshop materials and activities
- Create a positive, safe and encouraging learning environment
- Work alongside other Lighthouse facilitators for larger group sessions
- Contribute ideas to future workshops and program development
Who We Are Looking For:
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Enjoy working with children and young people
- Are energetic, patient, responsible and confident communicating with groups
- Have an interest in AI, technology, STEM, coding, education, design or creative learning
- Are comfortable learning new tools and activities
- Can travel to different workshop locations across Sydney
- Are available for casual sessions, particularly during school holidays
Students studying Computer Science, AI, Engineering, Education, Design, Business, Science or related disciplines are strongly encouraged to apply.
For our creative workshops, applicants from other study backgrounds are also welcome.
Requirements
- Working with Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one
- Reliable and professional
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a facilitation team
Training, workshop materials and session guidance will be provided.
