Ageing and Disability Services Team Leader

Bucketts Way Neighbourhood Group Inc. (BWNG) has an opportunity for you to experience Gloucester for yourself. We’re seeking an experienced and passionate person to lead our Ageing and Disability Services Team.
About the role
As an integral member of our senior management team, you will ensure a high standard of service is delivered by the organisation.
You will coordinate and inspire our team in providing quality, person-centred services and supports to vulnerable members of our community.
You will be organised, with the ability to prioritise work schedules and respond to multiple issues.
You will possess great problem solving skills with the ability to resolve complex situations including conflict resolution.
You will be able to manage and coordinate a range of BWNG funded programmes.
About you
Qualifications & experience:
- Diploma level qualifications in management, health, aged care or disability sector
- Minimum three years management experience
- High level experience working with Microsoft Office, government portals and client management systems
Skills:
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Aged Care Act 2024, the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 and the Fair Work Act 2009
- Ability to relate to and provide a positive approach to the rights of people with disability, people with dementia, aged people and their carers and families
- Excellent written, verbal and communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels and members of the community from all walks of life
- Ability to be organised, to prioritise work schedules, respond to multiple issues and problem solve to a high standard
- Demonstrated digital skills, with the ability to confidently use client management systems, official reporting portals, Microsoft 365 applications and other digital tools to support service delivery, reporting and team communication.
- Ability to manage a complex workforce, and develop and lead high performance teams
- Understanding of continuous improvement and quality assurance systems

As a full-time (35 hrs per week) position this role falls under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award 2010 (SCHADS) – Social & Community Services Employee Level 6, Paypoint 1.
