We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Engagement & Program Coordinator to join our team, supporting the delivery of the Smile Squad program across government schools.
About the Role
The Smile Squad Engagement & Program Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of the Smile Squad program to specialist and mainstream schools. You will lead engagement with schools, coordinate staffing and site logistics, and contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery.
You’ll act as the key liaison between schools, internal teams, and community stakeholders, ensuring the program is accessible, impactful, and delivered efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the growth of the Smile Squad program by identifying, engaging, and attracting new schools, while managing the end-to-end onboarding process to ensure a smooth and successful implementation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective school partners, school leaders, internal teams, and key stakeholders to drive ongoing engagement, attract new schools to the Smile Squad program,
- Lead service scheduling, staff rosters and site logistics to optimise service delivery
- Monitor operational performance in alignment with program KPIs and recommend improvements
- Represent and promote the Smile Squad program in meetings, school visits, and community forums
- Contribute to budget tracking, resource planning, and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure services are delivered in line with OHV policies, values, and safety standards
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Public Health, Health Promotion, Community Development, Education, Project Management, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience)
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in successfully leading the coordination of similar community engagement programs in health, education, or community sectors
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- A passion for equity and improving health outcomes for children
