About the Role
We are seeking experienced Rubber Production Machine Operators specialising in Conveyor Belt Splicing and/or Industrial Rubber Lining to join our Kalgoorlie operation.
Applicants must live in the Goldfields DAMA region. This is not a FIFO/DIDO role.
This permanent full-time position involves workshop and field service work supporting mining and industrial customers throughout the Goldfields region.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and repair heavy-duty conveyor belt systems.
- Perform steel cord and fabric conveyor belt splicing using hot and cold vulcanising techniques.
- Install, repair and maintain industrial rubber lining systems.
- Prepare surfaces and apply rubber lining materials in accordance with industry standards.
- Perform pulley lagging and maintenance of associated conveyor components.
- Operate vulcanising presses, belt winding equipment, forklifts, overhead cranes and other specialised machinery.
- Inspect equipment, diagnose faults and undertake repairs.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions and specifications.
- Complete shutdown, planned maintenance and breakdown work.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with company quality, safety and environmental procedures.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in conveyor belt splicing and/or industrial rubber lining.
- Experience working within mining, industrial, manufacturing or other heavy industry environments.
- A current driver's licence or the ability to obtain an Australian driver's licence upon commencement.
- The ability to work safely and effectively within a team environment.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- The ability to travel within the Goldfields region as required.
