Why A-Levate
A-Levate Education is a growing Perth tutoring provider, teaching students from primary right through to ATAR. This October we open our new centre in East Victoria Park — purpose-fitted teaching rooms, a close team, and a Term 4 timetable filling now. We’re looking for registered teachers who want to help shape it from day one.
The Role
▪ Teach Year 11–12 ATAR classes in one or more of: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Human Biology, English, English Literature.
▪ Deliver exam-focused teaching aligned to the current SCSA syllabuses.
▪ Set and mark practice assessments, and coach exam technique through to the WACE exams.
▪ Small classes capped at 8 — enough energy in the room to teach well, few enough to know every student.
▪ Opportunities to contribute to our growing bank of ATAR teaching materials.
Hours & Pay
▪ Casual — truly flexible. Pick up sessions that fit around your week: weekday afternoons 4:00–8:00pm and weekend sessions between 8:00am and 7:00pm.
▪ Part-time — a guaranteed timetable. A regular weekly schedule with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.
▪ Pay that reflects the work. Hourly rates scale with the year level you teach and the size of your class — senior levels and fuller classes earn more — and weekend sessions attract loadings.

What You’ll Need
▪ Current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) — Full or Provisional.
▪ A valid WA Working with Children Check — sighted before your first session, no exceptions.
▪ Deep, current knowledge of the SCSA ATAR syllabus in your subject(s), with recent experience teaching them.
▪ The ability to explain hard ideas simply — and to lift a student who’s been told it three times and still doesn’t get it.
▪ Warmth and patience with students, and clear, professional communication with parents.
▪ Reliability — our families build their week around your sessions.
▪ The right to work in Australia.
Nice to have: WACE exam marking experience; a track record of strong ATAR results; familiarity with school assessment structures.
