ESTIMATOR – RETAINING WALLS AND FENCING
Elite Walls and Fencing is growing and we are looking for an Estimator to join our Brisbane team. If you enjoy meeting clients, understanding a project and turning site information into accurate quotes, we would like to hear from you.
Salary package: $70,000–$90,000 per year, depending on experience, plus performance-based bonuses. Package components and bonus arrangements will be discussed during the interview process.
The role
You will manage incoming enquiries, conduct site inspections across Brisbane and prepare clear, competitive quotes for retaining wall and fencing projects. This is a customer-facing role focused on incoming quote requests and existing relationships, with no cold calling.
Key responsibilities
- Manage incoming quote requests through our CRM and email.
- Arrange and conduct site visits, take measurements and understand client requirements.
- Review plans, property photos, access, levels and project scope.
- Prepare material quantities and accurate cost estimates for labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for current pricing and availability.
- Prepare and present quotes, answer client questions and follow up enquiries.
- Keep clear records of scope, assumptions and quote status, and hand over successful projects to the operations team.
- Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and the site team.
What we are looking for
- Estimating or quoting experience is desirable, especially in construction, retaining walls, fencing or landscaping.
- Ability to interpret plans and scopes, with strong numeracy and attention to detail.
- Confident, professional communication in person, by phone and by email.
- Good organisation and the ability to manage several quotes and respond promptly to enquiries.
- Comfortable using email, spreadsheets and CRM systems.
- Based in or near Brisbane, with a driver’s licence and the ability to travel to sites.
