Introduction
Magnus is a telehealth clinic focused on men's health, and we're building out our founding clinical team with AHPRA-registered doctors.
The role is fully remote and flexible, delivering care across Australia in areas including testosterone and hormone optimisation, weight management, sexual health, performance and recovery, and peptide therapy. All treatments are supplied through licensed Australian compounding pharmacies, and every prescription follows a proper clinical assessment — peptides included, used as one evidence-informed option where clinically indicated.
The clinicians we're looking for are clinically confident, patient-focused, and comfortable working within a modern digital-health setting. An interest in personalised, preventive and evidence-informed medicine is central to the fit.
The role
The role is a prescribing and clinical review one, with intake and preparation handled before the patient reaches you. Our nursing team takes care of history-taking, symptom and goal documentation, initial screening, and baseline pathology — so by the time you see the patient, their clinical background and investigations are already on file.
You'll run each patient's first consultation in real time, review the pathology, determine clinical eligibility, and make an independent prescribing decision within the clinic's formulary. What gets prescribed is entirely your call — driven by clinical judgement. Once the initial real-time consult has taken place, established follow-ups can be handled asynchronously within our governance protocols.
As a Magnus doctor, you'll:
- Conduct telehealth consultations and build individualised treatment plans
- Make independent prescribing decisions within your scope and our formulary — initiation, optimisation, and ongoing monitoring
- Order and interpret pathology where clinically appropriate
- Manage patients over time: follow-up reviews, dose adjustments, repeat pathology where indicated, discontinuation when treatment is no longer appropriate, and escalation where telehealth isn't the right setting
- Maintain thorough clinical documentation and coordinate with our nursing and clinical team to ensure safe, joined-up care
- Contribute to refining our clinical protocols and standards as the practice grows
What you'll need
- Current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner, free of conditions, undertakings or reprimands
- Valid Schedule 4 prescribing rights in Australia
- Professional indemnity insurance appropriate to your scope of practice
- Active ABN
- A private, distraction-free environment suitable for telehealth consultations
Preferred but not essential
- Prior telehealth experience
- Background in men's health, hormone and metabolic medicine, weight management, sexual health or preventive care
- Familiarity with compounded medicines and compounding-pharmacy workflows
- Formal training in peptide or regenerative medicine, or a genuine interest in the area
- Experience within a private clinic, virtual clinic or patient-support environment
