Details: Help shape Canberra’s future by managing land development and urban renewal projects that support the Territory’s housing, economic and community objectives.
The Suburban Land Agency (SLA) is seeking an experienced and motivated Program Management and Controls Director who will provide strategic program management, governance and project controls to support the successful delivery of the Land Strategy and Feasibility Program (the Program).
The role integrates program controls, governance, scheduling, reporting and assurance activities to support effective planning, informed decision-making and project readiness. Working collaboratively across the Agency, the role provides oversight of program performance, risks, dependencies, budgets and key milestones while driving continuous improvement in project management practices and organisational capability.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:

hold a relevant professional qualification or accreditation with a professional body recognised within Australia; or
-
hold a relevant building degree; or have significant building or Infrastructure knowledge and/or project management experience.
Note: This is a temporary position available 1 October 2026 for a period of six months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
