About Townsville Health Centre
Townsville Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Townsville, 6.5km outside Townsville. This facility supports more than 1000 regular personnel, as well as visiting Air Force exercise and international members. It is home to the Black Hawk and Chinook helicopters. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, dental, nursing, mental health, physiotherapy, and pharmaceutical services. The standard operating hours of the centre are generally 0700-1630 Monday – Thursday, and a half day (5.5 hours) Friday
What you’ll do

Work Monday and Thursday providing oral hygiene treatments and preventive dental care to patients

Deliver tailored oral health education and advice to support wellbeing

Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation

Support infection control, sterilisation, and hygiene protocols

Collaborate with dental and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe care

Ensure compliance with Defence policies and clinical standards
What you bring

Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Dental Hygienist or Oral Therapist

Minimum 2 years’ recent clinical experience in dental hygiene
-
Ability to work both independently and within a supportive team

Strong communication skills with a caring, patient-focused approach
-
Commitment to maintaining high clinical and ethical standards

Australian Citizenship to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
