About the Role:
Are you an experienced mental health clinician looking for a dynamic role where no two days are the same?
Western Health is seeking passionate and recovery-focused Registered Psychiatric Nurses (Grade 3) to join our Acute Community Intervention Service (ACIS). ACIS provides rapid, intensive community-based assessment and short-term intervention for people experiencing an acute mental health crisis, helping consumers remain safely in their community wherever possible.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver timely mental health assessments, crisis interventions, outreach and care coordination while collaborating with consumers, families, carers and partner services to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
As an RPN3 within ACIS you will:

Undertake comprehensive mental health and risk assessments.

Provide intensive short-term treatment and crisis intervention in the community.

Deliver outreach and home-based care across the Western Health catchment.

Participate in the intake, assessment and management of referrals to the service.

Coordinate care with consumers, carers, emergency services, hospitals and community providers.

Work collaboratively within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.

Contribute to continuous service improvement and recovery-oriented practice.
About You:
You are a confident and compassionate clinician who:

Is a Registered Psychiatric Nurse with AHPRA registration.

Has experience working in acute or community mental health.

Demonstrates sound clinical judgement and risk assessment skills.

Thrives in a fast-paced environment and adapts to changing priorities.
-
Values teamwork, collaboration and recovery-oriented care.

Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
-
Holds a current Victorian Driver Licence.
