About School Infrastructure
School Infrastructure (SI) is delivering new school buildings, major upgrades and maintenance strategies to ensure every school-aged child has access to high quality education facilities at their local public school. This encompasses the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.
About the role
- Contract management, strategic decision making, stakeholder engagement, and technology integration for efficient procurement and contract performance of the Facilities Maintenance Contract.
- Provide strategic Facilities Maintenance Contract advice and support to the Director of Asset Management, and collaborate with the maintenance teams, to inform evidence-based decision making.
- Oversee procurement processes and approve reactive and proactive maintenance tenders to ensure compliance with NSW Government procurement policies, standards, contract objectives, and financial regulatory frameworks.
- Oversee the use of, and data quality of the Work Order Management System (WOMS), ensuring adherence to data governance policies.

About you
- Demonstrated experience in similar Management role within Trades and Construction.
- Exposure to financial planning, budget management and facilities management policies.
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to lead consultations and negotiations, providing strategic advice and offering solutions, often within short timeframes, to ensure program delivery targets are met.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Current NSW Driver’s License and willingness to travel across the assigned Asset Management Unit of North Coast NSW.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
- Current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance for paid employment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
