Endless Support Services is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our small, values-driven team.
We are currently recruiting for a specific role supporting a female participant in Zillmere. The role involves personal care, including showering and toileting, medication assistance and behaviour support in accordance with the participant’s Positive Behaviour Support Plan (PBSP). Regular availability for inactive sleepover shifts is essential.
About the role:
This position offers approximately 16–38 hours per week, depending on your availability and roster requirements.
Duties may include:
- Providing respectful personal care, including showering and toileting
- Assisting with medication in accordance with the participant’s support plan and organisational procedures
- Implementing behaviour support strategies consistently and in accordance with the participant’s PBSP
- Supporting the participant with daily routines and activities
- Completing clear and accurate shift documentation
- Providing consistent, trauma-informed and person-centred support
- Working independently while following support plans, policies and reporting requirements
- Completing inactive sleepover shifts
Inactive sleepovers are paid in accordance with the SCHADS Award, including the applicable sleepover allowance.
About you:
This is not an entry-level position. Previous experience working as a Disability Support Worker is essential.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, observant and confident working independently. You must be able to maintain professional boundaries, follow established support strategies and provide calm, consistent support during challenging situations.
You must:
- Have previous disability support work or closely related experience
- Have experience providing behaviour support in accordance with a PBSP
- Be available to work approximately 16–38 hours per week
- Be available and willing to complete inactive sleepover shifts
- Understand trauma-informed care
- Hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Hold a current Blue Card
- Hold a current Queensland driver licence
- Hold current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Have access to a reliable, appropriately insured vehicle
- Be able to commence promptly
Experience supporting participants subject to regulated restrictive practices will be highly regarded.
