About Electech
Electech Electrical is a growing Sydney based electrical contractor specialising in residential, commercial and renewable-energy installations.
Our EV, battery and energy division is expanding, and we are looking for a qualified electrician with battery installation experience to join our team.
This is a long term opportunity for someone who wants to develop their technical skills, work across both residential and commercial battery projects, and progress into a senior or team-leadership position as the division grows.
About the role
You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding residential and commercial EV chargers and battery energy storage systems throughout Sydney.
The work will include battery installations, switchboard upgrades, backup circuits, metering, communications, system commissioning and customer handovers.

- Ensure all work is completed safely, neatly and in accordance with applicable standards and manufacturer requirements.
- Communicate professionally with customers, builders, suppliers and project managers.
- Assist with site assessments, job planning and material requirements.
- Support and mentor apprentices or junior electricians as the role develops.
About you

- Strong electrical testing, fault-finding and problem solving skills.
- Experience with switchboard upgrades and backup power circuits.
- A current White Card.
- A current Australian driver licence.
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance and high-quality workmanship.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A reliable, organised and professional approach to work.
Commercial battery experience is highly regarded but is not essential where the applicant has strong residential battery experience and is ready to develop into larger commercial projects.
Experience with solar PV, EV chargers, energy management systems or communications equipment will also be viewed favourably.
