The role:
You will be responsible for assisting with delivery of project activities in a fixed timeframe environment. Participating as a self-motivated, highly organised and effective team member and work collaboratively with other team members and stakeholder groups to achieve the program outcomes. You will be directly embedded within a fast-paced hospital capital works program, taking ownership of ICT delivery activities across defined project milestones.
Your work will be measurable and output-focused, grounded in analysing business requirements, developing solution documentation, and ensuring ICT deliverables align with the operational needs of each facility, and translating complex technical and clinical requirements into actionable scopes of work.
Specifically, you will:
Lead business analysis and process modelling activities for the Townsville University Hospital Expansion project
Coordinate ICT end-user compute and application requirements from scoping through to test execution
develop and maintain solution documentation to program standards
Review and validate technical requirements, configuration data, and vendor deliverables against contractual obligations and program baselines
Lead structured requirements workshops with clinical, technical, and construction stakeholders, translating outputs directly into scoped work packages and traceable specifications
Monitor milestone progress against program schedules, flagging variances early and supporting recovery planning with quantified impact assessments

To be successful in this role, you must have demonstrated experience leading and managing business analysis activities within IM/ICT projects preferably in the health care industry. You will have demonstrated experience working within large-scale ICT delivery programs in complex-built environments, preferably in a hospital capital works project.

You will bring:
Ability to read and work with project schedules (MS Project or equivalent), identify potential risks, and communicate observations clearly to the project team
Hands-on experience reviewing technical drawings, ICT infrastructure scopes, and vendor deliverables to support completeness and compliance checks
Experience working with risk and issues registers as active delivery tools, with follow-through to support resolution
Solid stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to contribute effectively to meetings and translate complex, multi-disciplinary inputs into requirements
Experience in ICT capital programs, preferably in healthcare, where delivery timelines are fixed and scope clarity matters
Ability to apply structured thinking to complex problems , formal BA frameworks are a bonus, not a prerequisite
