About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Occupational Therapist to join our growing team.
This is a flexible, community-based role working with children, young people, and adults. Services may be provided in homes, schools, workplaces, community settings, or via telehealth.
The role includes assessments, therapy, assistive technology recommendations, home modifications, and NDIS reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality occupational therapy services to NDIS participants.
- Complete Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA) and ADL assessments.
- Assess participant needs, strengths, and functional abilities.
- Develop therapy plans based on individual NDIS goals.
- Provide therapy in community and home settings.
- Recommend and assess Assistive Technology.
- Complete home modification assessments.
- Prepare FCA, progress, NDIS, AT, and home modification reports.
- Provide education to participants, families, carers, and support workers.
- Work with Support Coordinators, GPs, schools, and other health professionals.
- Monitor participant progress and update therapy goals.
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records.
- Follow NDIS Practice Standards, Code of Conduct, and professional requirements.
- Participate in supervision and professional development.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current AHPRA registration.
- Experience working with people with disability; NDIS experience preferred.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- National Police Check.
- First Aid and CPR.
- Current Victorian Driver Licence.
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Desirable Experience
Experience working with people with:
- Autism
- Intellectual disability
- Cerebral palsy
- Neurological or physical disabilities
- Psychosocial disabilities
- Acquired brain injury
- Developmental delay
- Sensory processing difficulties
Experience with FCA, Assistive Technology, home modifications, and NDIS reports is highly desirable.
