Position Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Pre-Construction team at Parratech. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating tender specifications and drawings, developing comprehensive cost estimates, and preparing competitive tenders that help us secure and deliver high-quality projects.

Key Skills
- Proven experience in estimating within a technical or construction environment.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, cost control, and project management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty and ethics.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in estimating tools and software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Projects.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Project Evaluation: Review and analyse project plans, specifications, and documentation to prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates.
- Cost Analysis: Develop detailed estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor services, ensuring all costs are captured and reflected in final tenders.
- Bid Preparation: Prepare and submit competitive tenders, meeting all requirements and deadlines while ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks to cost, schedule, and performance, and provide strategies for risk mitigation.
- Vendor Coordination: Solicit and review tenders from vendors and subcontractors, maintaining strong relationships to ensure competitive pricing.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their needs, provide updates on tender status, and clarify any discrepancies.
- Data Management: Maintain a database of historical data for use in future estimates. Continuously update and improve estimating tools and techniques.
- Compliance: Ensure all estimates comply with relevant regulations, codes, and standards, and stay informed about industry trends and changes.
