FC Gold Coast is growing, and we're looking for passionate Football (Soccer) and Futsal Coaches to join our coaching team across multiple locations throughout the Gold Coast and Tweed Heads.
We are a junior football and futsal development academy focused on much more than simply winning games.
Our goal is to develop confident, creative, technically capable and intelligent young footballers who love the game.

The Role
This is a flexible contractor coaching role, with opportunities available across:
- Junior football development programs
- Futsal development programs
- Private 1-on-1 training
- Small-group training
- Academy development sessions
- After-school programs
- School programs
- Holiday camps
- Competitions and game-day coaching
Sessions will operate at various venues throughout the Gold Coast and Tweed Heads, with opportunities for additional coaching as FC Gold Coast expands.
Depending on your availability, this could suit someone looking for a few coaching sessions each week or someone wanting to build a larger coaching schedule with us.

First touch, passing, receiving, dribbling, finishing, weak foot and 1v1 ability.
Football Intelligence
Scanning, positioning, movement, decision-making, recognising space and transitions.

We don't want robots. Players should learn to solve problems and express themselves.

We want players who want the ball and aren't afraid to make mistakes.
Futsal
Futsal is a fundamental part of our development philosophy. Smaller spaces, more touches and faster decisions create better footballers.
Character
Confidence, resilience, humility, communication, teamwork and respect matter just as much as technical development.
Who We're Looking For
You might already be an experienced academy or club coach.
You might be a current or former player looking to move into coaching.
You might be studying sports science, teaching, coaching or another related field.
What matters most is that you:
- Have a genuine passion for football and/or futsal
- Enjoy working with children and young players
- Can create positive, energetic and engaging sessions
- Understand that junior development isn't about screaming instructions from the sideline
- Can communicate professionally with players, parents and the FC Gold Coast team
- Are reliable, organised and punctual
- Are comfortable travelling between coaching locations
- Believe children should be challenged without being humiliated or intimidated
- Want to continue developing as a coach
Qualifications & Requirements
You will need:
- A current QLD Blue Card and/or NSW Working With Children Check, as applicable to where you coach
- Your own reliable transport
- Appropriate working rights in Australia
- Availability for some afternoon, evening, weekend and/or school-holiday sessions
- An ABN or willingness to obtain one for contractor engagements
Football Australia/AFC coaching qualifications are highly regarded but not necessarily essential for every coaching position.
Playing experience, futsal experience and previous junior coaching experience will also be highly regarded.
For the right people, attitude, character and the ability to connect with young players are incredibly important.

Players must feel safe to play, safe to learn and safe to make mistakes.
Bullying, humiliation, intimidation, discrimination, inappropriate language or aggressive coaching behaviour have no place at FC Gold Coast.
We want demanding coaches.
We want competitive coaches.
We want coaches who push players to improve.
But we do it while maintaining the trust and safety of the children we're responsible for.
