Chef / Kitchen Assistant
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and motivated Chef / Kitchen Assistant to join our hospitality team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, portioning and plating
- Support the chef during busy service periods
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen
- Assist with washing dishes and cleaning kitchen equipment when required
- Assist with stock rotation, storage and deliveries
- Maintain food quality and minimise food waste
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
- Work effectively as part of a team
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant commercial kitchen experience
- Previous experience as a Chef or Kitchen Assistant
- Good knowledge of food preparation and kitchen procedures
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety requirements
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy services
- Reliable, punctual and well organised
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
