We are seeking an experienced Service Project Manager to lead the delivery of high voltage service projects across Australia involving GIS, AIS, transformers, circuit breakers, substations, and related primary plant equipment.
This role is focused on service delivery, outage management, maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and lifecycle support of critical transmission and distribution assets. The successful candidate will bring a strong service and maintenance background and be comfortable managing customers, technical teams, safety, commercial performance, and field execution activities.
The ideal candidate will have progressed through a technical service pathway such as service engineer, field technician, commissioning engineer, maintenance supervisor, or service coordinator before moving into project management. Direct experience supporting HV switchgear and transformer maintenance activities will be highly regarded.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Deliver high voltage service projects from planning through completion.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, claims, and variations.
- Coordinate field service engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and outage activities.
- Act as the primary customer interface and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Support maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and asset lifecycle activities.
- Monitor project profitability, forecasting, and commercial performance.
- Promote HSE compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing high voltage service, maintenance, or asset support projects.
- Experience working with transmission or distribution network assets.
- Knowledge of GIS and AIS switchgear, transformers, substations, and associated equipment.
- Experience managing field-based technical teams and customer-facing projects.
- Strong commercial, planning, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Electrical Engineering Degree, Electrical Trade Qualification, or Project Management certification (IPMA, PMP, AIPM or equivalent).
- Experience in utility maintenance contracts, outages, long-term service agreements (LTSA), emergency response works, or brownfield substation projects.
- Renewable energy, transmission network, or Siemens Energy equipment experience.
- SAP or similar project management systems experience.
