Work with some of Australia’s best hotels, restaurants, bars, breweries, bakeries, and travel destinations in this public relations & communications role for storytellers at award-winning boutique marketing agency, Seven Storeys, based in Sydney.
Join our team of PR, content and marketing creatives to deliver a range of exciting, integrated campaigns for our partner brands and businesses in hospitality and travel, including celebrity chefs, five-star hotels, fine dining restaurants, cocktail bars, and cult sandwich shops.
You'll be responsible for:
- Generating earned media, collaborations and content opportunities - researching, crafting and pitching stories to media; engaging with creators and influencers; and fostering partnerships and brand alignments
- Securing earned coverage and content across media outlets, partner channels and social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok)
- Concepting and executing creative story and content ideas, events and activations, and running campaigns
- Creating compelling materials such as media releases, articles, bios, and Q&As to support and facilitate storytelling
- Keeping across media movements, story placement opportunities, and key influencers to connect with
- Planning and executing media and influencer visits, famils, events and hosted experiences
- Supporting on photoshoots and video shoots
- Staying on top of and tapping into trends, topics and best practices
- Building rapport with clients, industry stakeholders, media, influencers and brand leaders
- Media monitoring and social media listening, providing insightful analysis and data-driven reporting
- Supporting the broader team on creating copy and social media content
- Supporting the communications for the agency's own channels including website and social media
Ideally you will have:
- 1-3 years in Australian PR agency experience, or 2-3 years of in-house comms experience working in similar industries
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for storytelling and rapport building
- A strong understanding of the Australian media and social media landscapes
- Proven ability and confidence to pitch stories and secure coverage and influencer collaborations
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- A passion for food, drink, travel and hospitality and a collaborative spirit
- An ability to think outside the square
This is a full-time position, however we will happily consider part-time applicants for the right fit.
