The Role: ACH Group has multiple casual opportunities available for Multi Skilled Worker's to work across our Highercombe (Hope Valley) and Healthia (Elizabeth South) sites. Successful candidates must be available to work across both sites.
A Multi Skilled Worker (MSW) supports residents to have a full life. In addition to ensuring residents' daily living needs are met, the MSW's working day is based entirely around resident choices such as when they start their day, what they eat or daily interests and experiences.
A MSW is more than just support, a MSW's job satisfaction will be met by providing person-directed care at all times. Participating in residents' day-to-day life, deeply understanding them and contributing to a positive experience of living. The MSW will be a valued team member and the team working together will achieve a person directed care and living model within each home.
The role will be empowered to deliver and promote high quality of life, positive ageing and advocacy for residents. The responsibilities of this role include provision of personal care for residents including medication administration, meal preparation, dining, and laundry service within a self-managed team.
The MSW will strive to ensure that residents' care and choices remain central to all that we do.
Additionally, providing an outstanding resident service delivery that represents ACH Group brand.
What you'll do:
- Assist residents in the day-to-day organisation of their home
- With oversight of a RN, support residents with administration of medications
- Build a deep understanding of the residents needs
- Advocate for the autonomy of residents
- Have exceptional communication skills
- Build rapport with residents and their family members or representatives
- Assist residents by promoting positive ageing
- Provide a high standard of care to residents including cooking, housekeeping and laundry
- Work under direction and guidance in a multi-tasking environment to deliver the highest quality of care to residents
- Facilitate daily group programs and tailor to the support needs of each resident
About You:
You will nurture and support residents by providing assistance with activities of daily living and meeting other needs as required with the core goal of promoting high quality of life and optimal resident experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A passion for supporting choice and independence
- High level resident service experience
- Share the ACH Group culture and values
You will need:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
- Medication Credentialling - contact us for more information if required
- To care about supporting older people to live a Good Life
- A Police Check for unsupervised contact / vulnerable groups less than 12 months old upon commencement.
