- Minimum 2 year of Experience in building Electrical Switchboards (MSBs, MDBs, MCCs and DBs including Link Boxes)
- Australian Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (or equivalent international qualification).
- Proven experience working as a Metal Fabricator / Tradesman in a workshop environment.
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Competent in various welding techniques (MIG/TIG) and fabrication machinery.
- Competent in Welding Soft Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminum with thickness from 1-3mm
- High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety standards.
- Proof of completed: OHS Card, Asbestos Card and Silica Card
Key Responsibilities:
- Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the Switchboard requirements.
- Select, clean, and prepare metal stock for fabrication.
- Cut, shape, and bend metal sections using hand tools, machine tools, and welding equipment.
- Assemble, fit, and weld metal parts and sub-assemblies (MIG, TIG, and Stick welding).
- Structural steel fabrication, welding, and installation.
- Ensure all work is completed to high-quality standards and in compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.
Pay: $79,500.00 – $85,000.00 per year
